Aus Air - Maternal Wall - Skaha

This shot was taken at Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, in Mexico. It was new year eve while i was at El Potrero Chico, the sport climbing paradise. I felt sort of lucky with this photo, since i was there 3:00 am looking for a good shot of "Spires" (These 200 ft rock horns on the west side of the canyon) and the moon wich in that time was beautiful. I had the idea in my mind of the shot that i was looking for, however the "lucky strike" came when i suddenly saw a light moving upward... It was a climber who was almost to get to the top of that route. The last thing that i could imagine that night was that i would find a climber there at that particular time... 3:00 am. That was my serendipitous moment where everything fell into place. Two minutes later the moon was hidden on the rock and the climbers disappeared into the darkness...

Climbing onto the ridge of the South Peak of Seneca Rocks via Gunsight to South Peak!

From the top of either Lemon Twist or Frank's World step across to the other end of the large ledge to build a gear belay at the base of the big crack under the looming roof and climb through to glory above, exiting through the slot between the two big buttresses. A bit easier than it looks but still featuring a challenging (well protected) move or two.

Leader pulling the fun final roof of target practice. Big holds and big exposure close out the end of the route. Fun in the style of the nearby DC Comics route but easier. Just watch out for loose blocks.

enjoy getting to this spot from the left. the Easy variation, V1 is from the Right

Leader at the lower face section of target practice near the first bolt. Probably a good idea to place a piece of gear to protect moves through the chossy rock guarding that bolt. Enter via a shelf out left and traverse in. Route crux is in the orange face about 20 feet above just before you move left to approach the roofs.
